Mill Manager, Elk Lake, Ontario
J oin Interfor's dynamic Elk Lake Division, where you will lead the team that is responsible for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the site.

What You'll Do

  • Overall responsibility for operational and financial performance.
  • Oversee daily operations across our sawmill, planer, shipping, and maintenance departments.
  • Responsible for safety, efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across all departments.
  • Lead, develop, and engage a high-performing team aligned with Interfor's core values and safety standards.
  • Drive mill strategy and operational improvement initiatives to maximize margins.
  • Ensure the operation is in compliance with all regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Foster clear, consistent communication and strong employee relations to support organizational goals.

What You Offer

  • Proven safety leadership. You lead by example always maintaining the highest standards with respect to safety.
  • Minimum of 10 years of multi-department supervisory experience within the wood products industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of lumber manufacturing including equipment, processes, products, and optimization.
  • Proven track record in continuous improvement and performance management.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude is considered an asset.
  • You are a collaborative leader with strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
