Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Dental Office Administrator to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in administrative tasks, and bookkeeping. This role requires excellent communication abilities, a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively. Our team seeks to empower our patients and their friends and families, to enhance their oral and overall health.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate office activities to ensure efficient operations.
  • Manage front desk duties, including greeting visitors and handling multi-line phone systems.
  • Oversee human resources functions such as employee onboarding, and training & development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Organize filing systems and manage vendor relationships to optimize office supplies and services.
  • Implement budgeting strategies to control expenses while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Provide clerical support as needed, including data entry, document preparation, and correspondence management.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective team management and communication.
  • Notify departmental heads and/or team of any changes or new communication within the practice
  • Partner up and meet with Team Leader to ensure effective scheduling and treatment plan coordination
  • Create agenda for daily huddles and monthly team meetings

Skills

  • Strong front desk management skills with excellent phone etiquette.
  • Experience in bookkeeping and maintaining financial records accurately.
  • Comprehensive office experience with a focus on administrative tasks.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and external partners.
  • Experience with Cleardent.
  • Experience in vendor management to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Familiarity with training & development practices to enhance team performance.

The Ideal Candidate has:

  • Previous dental administrator experience of at least 2 years
  • Strong and effective organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks performed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Is a people person who is friendly in person and over the phone
  • Is deeply passionate about serving others
  • Is responsible and calm/peaceful in nature
  • Is positive and likes to have fun
  • Is Tech savvy and a quick learner

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Dental Administration: 2 years (required)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
