Commercial / Industrial real estate investment firm seeks an experienced Vice-President of Finance with excellent communication and problem-solving skills reporting to the CFO

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial aspects of day-to-day corporate real estate & operations accounting of the company
  • Responsible for overseeing the accounting department
  • Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Liaise with Investments, operations, leasing, legal, construction and development departments for all financial reporting requirements
  • Manage financial reporting, 13
    th
    billing and year-end processes with accounting teams and with external accountants
  • Review yearly/monthly cashflows, forecast and budgets for properties, construction & development projects
  • Tax planning
  • Oversee payroll accounting

Qualifications:

  • Five to ten years commercial real estate experience
  • Professional accounting designation
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles and best practices
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and perfectly bilingual French / English
  • Ability to manage various tasks at one time
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Property management software experience with Yardi and Hopem is an asset
  • Strong Excel skills
