Loombotic is a YC-backed wire harness manufacturing startup specializing in highly custom, quick-turnaround orders. We're growing rapidly and seeking a skilled Wire Harness Technician to help us develop reliable, high-quality harnesses and expand our production capabilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies from drawings and schematics
- Crimp, strip, and terminate wires using hand tools and precision equipment
- Solder and heat-shrink connectors to meet production standards
- Inspect assemblies to ensure functionality and quality meet specifications
- Label, route, and bundle wires for clean, reliable harness layouts
- Identify and correct assembly or wiring issues during production
- Follow IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship and safety standards
- Collaborate with engineers to improve build methods and resolve technical issues
Who we're looking for
- Technical diploma or college training in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics technology
- 1+ year of hands-on experience in wire harness assembly, electrical manufacturing, or related work
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and build instructions
- Skilled in crimping, stripping, soldering, and connector assembly
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across builds
- Comfortable using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Understands basic electrical principles and safe handling of wiring and components
- Works well in a team environment and communicates clearly with engineers and technicians
- Organized, dependable, and motivated to deliver high-quality work under deadlines
How to stand out
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (Class 2 or 3)
- Experience with specialized crimping tools or harness fixtures
- Familiarity with custom or low-volume manufacturing environments
