Job Overview

Our well-established, multi-doctor optometric clinic is seeking a dedicated Optometric Assistant to join our team. The position will begin as part-time, with the opportunity to transition to full-time in the new year. Saturday availability is required.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, be patient-focused, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills along with a positive, enthusiastic attitude. A passion for learning and for working with people is essential.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment yet can also work independently and follow through on tasks with consistency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-testing
  • using debit machine and collect payments
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
  • Support contact lens fittings and patient education.
  • Assist with optical dispensing and adjustments.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness in the clinic.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in optometry, healthcare, or customer service is an asset but not required — we're happy to train the right candidate.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfort using computers and learning new software systems.
  • Professional and friendly attitude with patients and team members.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$30.00 per hour
