Role Overview:
The Cloud Developer will be responsible for migrating existing ETL workflows to a modern cloud-based data platform using Azure Databricks. The role involves designing and implementing data ingestion pipelines, automating reconciliation processes, optimizing performance, and ensuring seamless integration across multiple systems. This position requires hands-on expertise in cloud data engineering, ETL modernization, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable data ingestion pipelines from multiple source systems including
S4M, Wide Orbit, NCW, Operative, Anaplan, and Salesforce
. - Migrate legacy ETL workflows to
Azure Databricks
, ensuring stable and efficient integration with the cloud data lake. - Implement automation solutions for data reconciliation, validation, and monitoring.
- Optimize ETL and data processing workflows for
performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and reliability
. - Develop automation scripts and support the design and implementation of
CI/CD pipelines
. - Work closely with solution architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver enhancements aligned with evolving requirements.
- Ensure adherence to
coding standards
, data governance, cloud security controls, and compliance best practices.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience
working with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, and programming in
Python and/or Scala
. - Strong understanding of
ETL concepts
, data warehousing, and integration patterns. - Proven experience with
automation frameworks
, DevOps processes, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred). - Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize large-scale distributed data workflows.
- Familiarity with
cloud security, data governance, and compliance
practices within Azure environments.
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate / Professional
