Corel is looking for a hands-on Manager for the Data Science team to facilitate the advancement of our analytical capabilities. We are moving from "what was/is" to Predictive modeling and Business optimization. This role is located in Canada, and will be the key to establishing and developing the data science capabilities at our company.

As a Manager, Data Science, you will:

• Lead and develop Data Scientists in investigating complex issues, defining key metrics, and uncovering key drivers of our business
• Partner with the leadership across organization to adopt quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand what drives our business
• Influence Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Product strategy by making actionable recommendations based on data
• Drive measurement strategy across various departments within the organization building data driven decision culture within the company
• Work closely with the Data and MarTech leaders to facilitate tool selection and process definition to support company's experimentation strategy
• Provide insights to help business and product leaders understand marketplace dynamics, user behaviors, and long-term trends
• Drive data models that reflect ambiguous business

What YOU bring to the team:

• One year or more of experience managing a team of data scientists, and a track record of delivering impactful analyses
• A degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or similar domain
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or related quantitative role
• The insight to take ambiguous problems and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way
• Excellent communication and cross-functional working skills, including the ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences and influence strategic decisions
• Experience working with funnel optimization, user segmentation, cohort analyses, time series analyses, regression models, etc.
• Expertise of SQL queries, ETL, A/B Testing, and statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) with statistical packages, such as Matlab, R, SAS or Python
• Proficiency in one or more analytics & visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, PowerBI)
