What is the opportunity?
The RBC Dominion Securities Management team located in Winnipeg is looking for a Receptionist to help deliver on our commitment by providing superior support and service to our clients and employees. As the face of our branch, this individual plays a crucial role in the client experience, answering phones and greeting clients who arrive for meetings with their Advisor Team. The Receptionist helps ensure the branch runs smoothly and meets the needs of everyone who walks through its doors.
This role is part of our Branch Operations team and while it will be client-facing for the entirety of the day, additional cross-training within Branch Operations will be required for the successful candidate. Branch Operations is the first line of support and problem resolution for selected products and services. The successful candidate will apply experience and complete working knowledge of the job and policies/practices to perform a combination of routine tasks and varied administrative/operational assignments.
What will you do?
- Be the primary point of contact at the branch, helping to manage incoming communications from clients, Advisors and other internal and external partners.
- Use your exceptional people skills and emotional intelligence to provide attentive and accurate service to clients, responding to their needs in a timely and understanding manner.
- Provide attentive and accurate service to clients and respond to their needs.
- Answering inbound customer service calls. Provide attentive and accurate service to clients calling in to the branch, transferring calls to Advisor teams.
- Take ownership of essential administrative tasks to support the Branch Operations team, such as managing office stationery orders, scheduling meetings and boardrooms and providing support to the Branch Operations Manager when needed.
- Cross-train with Branch Operations to provide valuable administrative and operational support to Advisor Teams throughout the day: process incoming and outgoing funds, approve account openings, maintain documentation, etc.

- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- A professional team-player approach to all situations, contributing to a positive working environment
- A flexible mindset and desire to support others
- The ability to complete duties independently with the resourcefulness to seek out answers and solutions
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities' systems and procedures
- Experience in the securities industry
