The Role
We're on the hunt for a passionate and driven writer to join our content team and help in developing ideas and briefs for visualizations, finding datasets, writing articles, and supporting team members in various editorial tasks.
This role is ideal for someone who is naturally curious and has a passion for finance, tech, and geopolitics.
Having knowledge of AI tools and how they can be used for content research, planning, and writing is a significant asset, with AI skills and usage key to this role and its development.
Your day-to-day tasks will include working directly with your team's producer, designers, and other editorial members in order to develop and write high-quality content on a wide variety of topics, ensuring it aligns with Visual Capitalist's standards and audience interests.
You should be based in the Vancouver area and be comfortable coming into the office to share ideas and experiences with colleagues.

Experience:
You have at least two years of experience designing content that simplifies complex ideas and a demonstrated understanding of data and how it can be visualized. A general understanding of economics, demographics, and markets along with prior experience in a media publisher/agency are highly valued assets for this position.
Some Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with AI tools, spreadsheet software, and data visualization concepting
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Economics, or a related field
- Familiarity with Wordpress
Compensation
The approximate salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000. The actual salary will be based on various factors, including the candidate's level of skills, experience and education aligned with the needs of the role, budget, and market.
