Position Overview

We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the production of probiotic liquid, cleaning fermentation tanks, preparing starter cultures, and inoculating mother culture. This role requires working closely under the supervision of the Production Manager to ensure smooth operations in the manufacturing process.

Compensation Amount: $ $21.00 hourly

Start of Work Term: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the manufacturing process of probiotic liquid.
  • Clean and sanitize fermentation tanks following company protocols.
  • Support the production of starter cultures.
  • Inoculate mother culture under the guidance of the Production Manager.
  • Follow safety and hygiene regulations in the production facility.
  • Maintain detailed records of production activities.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving minor production issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field is an asset but not required.
  • Prior experience in food production, fermentation, or laboratory work is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
