Position Details
At TNG, our data engineering team plays a vital role in ensuring reliable, scalable, and intelligent data solutions. As a Data Engineer with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AWS, you will be responsible for building advanced data pipelines, optimizing data infrastructure, and enabling machine learning and analytics at scale. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and product teams to deliver impactful solutions that power next-generation AI-driven capabilities. All projects delivered in Agile environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data, leveraging AWS native tools (Glue, Kinesis, Lambda, S3, Redshift).
- Develop and manage cloud data warehouses (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Snowflake) to support analytics and machine learning workloads.
- Support relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) environments, optimizing schema design and query performance.
- Implement automated quality checks, monitoring, and governance frameworks to ensure clean, trusted data.
- Continuously optimize pipelines, storage, and compute to ensure scalability and cost-effectiveness on AWS.
- Apply security best practices and ensure compliance with TNG standards and industry regulations when handling sensitive data.
- Work with product managers, analysts, and AI teams to ensure data infrastructure aligns with business goals.
- Stay updated with evolving AI, data engineering, and cloud technologies to recommend improvements and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years focused on AWS cloud services.
- Proven experience in enabling AI/ML workflows.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in AWS services: Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda.
- Expertise in SQL and advanced database design.
- Experience with MySQL
- Solid background in Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering and AI integration.
- Experience with ETL tools like Glue, Informatica, DataStage.
- Hands-on with version control (Git) and CI/CD for data workflows.
- Knowledge of data visualization/reporting tools (Jaspersoft, Tableau, Power BI) is an asset.
- Familiarity with AI/ML lifecycle (model training, feature engineering, deployment, and monitoring)
- Nice to have: experience with GoAnywhere, Jaspersoft, SageMaker, EMR

- Effective communicator able to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
- Adaptability and passion for continuous learning in emerging AI and data technologies.
