Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility: prepare artwork for production using Adobe Illustrator

  • Responsibilities include: cleaning up supplied low resolution or compressed art files , preparing mockups and following work orders for both the screenprint and embroidery departments, separating art work and printing out film

  • Vector Illustrator Files:Taking original vector files as designed by the customer/artist, breaking the special effects/blends into solid, printable art that will be able to be properly separated and printed.

  • Re-sizing the art to match size indicated on work order. Base creation, assigning print sequence positioning in the layers, stacked order and indicating to production the print sequence intended and the Pantone color they should use for that screen.

  • Save and archive customer artwork in an organized searchable format on company server.

  • Support all art requests made by Account management and production team

  • Operation and maintenance of CJV150 Series ink jet printer and clamshell heat press.

  • Heat press operation: application of transfers using the heat press to garments, hats or bags as per mockup instructions.

  • This is an evolving department and other duties may be added as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent degree with emphasis in graphic design
  • 1-2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – Knowledge of Illustrator is critical. Some correl and photoshop knowledge is a plus but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and take initiative
  • Detail-oriented, creative and able to work in a fast pace environment
  • Able to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Ability to make sound and reasonable decisions
  • Screenprint & embroidery industry experience preferred but not necessary.
  • We are willing to train the right candidate who has the skill sets listed above.
