The Site Reliability Specialist (SRS) is a specialized role within the field of software engineering that focuses on maintaining highly reliable and scalable software systems. SRSs proactively manage the Eco system of the applications and services with a DevOps skillset to ensure the applications operate smoothly and reliably for an excellent user experience.

How you will create impact:
  • Monitor system performance and availability, identify bottlenecks and points of failures, and take actions to rectify issues identified.
  • Prevent future occurrences of incidents by analyzing and fixing root causes.
  • Work with infrastructure teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements to ensure system currency.
  • Work with security teams to implement best practices, ensure data privacy, and comply with industry standards and regulations
  • Develop and maintain automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks, deployments, and infrastructure management.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless and reliable deployment of new features and updates following support readiness gating process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, adopt best practices, and continuously improve systems and processes to enhance reliability and performance.

To join our team:
  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with at least 3 years of experience in application support including development and operation.
  • Azure/Microsoft DevOps Specialist Certification is an asset.
  • Working experience in software engineering, with proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  • Experience in system administration and managing production environments.
  • Proficiency in using monitoring and logging tools to track system performance and discover errors.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Understanding of networking protocols and security principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and infrastructure-as-code tools as an asset.
  • Azure experience is an asset.

  • Rotational on-call schedule, with shifts during evenings and weekends.
  • Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required.
