Duties

  • Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent unauthorized access, theft, and vandalism.
  • Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems and other security technology to maintain constant awareness of the premises.
  • Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and employees, managing access points efficiently and professionally.
  • Respond swiftly to emergencies by administering first aid or CPR when necessary and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services.
  • Manage conflict situations with tact and professionalism, de-escalating potential threats while maintaining safety for all parties involved.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious activity and intervening appropriately.
  • Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, inspections, and surveillance footage for accountability and reporting purposes.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures consistently to uphold the safety standards of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain these certifications is a plus.
  • Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) operation and monitoring techniques.
  • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Background in military service or security training is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with loss prevention methods and security protocols.
  • Excellent observational skills with attention to detail in surveillance activities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts.
