On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a DevOps Engineer. You will play a critical role in shaping the foundation of our infrastructure, development workflows, and deployment pipelines. You will help the team in building a highly scalable, secure, and efficient system, working closely with product and engineering stakeholders to deliver platform excellence. This is a hands-on role focused on both execution and architectural vision, ideal for a DevOps expert with a strong Linux and Kubernetes background.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain our cloud-native infrastructure using best practices for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Lead and mentor the engineering team on DevOps standards, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, container orchestration, and security.
• Develop and maintain system architecture, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.
• Analyze, document, and optimize performance-critical modules of the platform.
• Own and evolve our CI/CD pipelines and release engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and QA to ensure delivery pipelines are automated, observable, and reproducible.
• Recommend and introduce modern tools to improve engineering velocity and infrastructure resilience.
• Support production deployments and participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering and/or DevOps, with demonstrated leadership in technical teams
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux system internals, performance tuning, and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Strong and Proven experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration at scale
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and related DevOps tooling
• Proficiency with monitoring, observability, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
• Experience with secure system design and DevSecOps best practices
• Familiarity with source control and team workflows using Git in a distributed environment
• Strong understanding of scalable system design, deployment strategies, and fault tolerance
Nice to Have:
• Experience working with GPU drivers (NVIDIA, AMD) or performance-sensitive systems
• Experience with AI tooling such as LLM, vector databases, MCP
About You:
• You challenge assumptions and think independently
• You work outside your comfort zone and get things done quickly
• You enjoy supporting and mentoring teammates, fostering best practices
• You thrive in fast-paced, multicultural environments and are comfortable working in startups
• You are driven by automation, repeatability, and resilience in system design
