What the day will look likeAs an integral part of the Mid-Market vertical, our new colleague will:
- Handle a portfolio of clients, while spending a majority of time on growth and growth related activities in our commercial risk business, across a broad range of industries
- Primary focus on growth of new logo clients to Aon's Commercial Risk business – a successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of client needs, unpacking and understanding those needs, and success in securing contracts with prospective clients
- Be responsible, and take proactive measures to manage a relatively smaller portfolio of clients in addition to the growth capacity
- Act as primary point of contact for client inquiries
- Educate clients and colleagues about insurance matters, working closely with our Broking and Client Service teams to fulfill client needs
- Coordinate Aon resources to support timely service deliverables to the clients
- Act as a liaison between client, insurers, and Aon branches (if necessary), handling questions and general inquiries and preparing correspondence
- Identifying specific client and prospect needs and developing innovative solutions
- Ensure all procedures, internal client documents and correspondence comply with Aon audit standards
- Reviewing and revising insurance program in conjunction with the client to ensure complete and appropriate coverage
- Coordinating/providing oversight to the account team and establish client service plans that prioritize the account activities and profitability in a value-based approach for the scope of services required
- Coordinating/leading the strategy for the account renewal and the ongoing requirements during the year, including the marketing processes and negotiations with underwriters
- Managing and being responsible for the Aon Client Renewal Process including preparing the renewal report, presenting to client for approval, obtaining the binding order and reviewing policy documentation and delivering to clients in a timely manner
- Developing and nurturing client relationships to achieve high client retention, client satisfaction scores and cultivate opportunities to grow the client relationships
- Managing all information needed to take an application, prepare quotations, calculate premiums, bind coverage and prepare documents for billing
- Assisting with correspondence, client insurance summaries, promotional material, reports and presentations
- Collaborating with brokers and/or contacting underwriters directly to negotiate the best terms and conditions, premiums and coverage
- Ensuring and compliance with all Aon information/documentation storage standards

Skills and experience that will lead to success- Demonstrated experience in commercial insurance
- Sales acumen and desire to grow the business, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the process and requirements to ensure their book of business continues to grow
- Participate in marketing and growth efforts; this may include attendance at conferences, industry events and other public forums to grow their portfolio of business, while building on the Aon brand
- Ability to bridging the gap between small businesses and large enterprises
- Growth mindset, strong sales, and new business acumen.
- Possession of insurance education credentials like CIP, FIIC, or CRM
- Professional demeanor with strong business acumen
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; adept at engaging with clients, underwriters, and colleagues across all levels of seniority
- Ability to collaborate effectively as a vital team member
- Excellent organizational skills with the capability to prioritize multiple deadlines
- Proven negotiation abilities
- Strategic thinker adept in navigating complexities of the mid-market segment effectively
- Proficient in digital tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability to quickly learn Aon-specific software
