Tru Earth is looking for a Senior IT Administrator to fill a new role at our Mississauga location.

The Senior IT Administrator will be accountable for providing support and overseeing and maintaining our IT Systems, Infrastructure, software licensing, procurement, and deploying IT hardware and software, providing technical help to users, enabling remote work capabilities, and implementing sustainability initiatives to reduce e-waste and carbon footprint. This is a hands-on role that requires the individual to be a central point of contact and resolution for IT.

Main Job Tasks, & Duties

  • Manage Microsoft Exchange, Teams, and other O365 applications; oversee cloud storage in Azure, SharePoint, and OneDrive; ensure regular backups of all IT systems.
  • Oversee software licensing and compliance, including procurement, renewal, and audits; coordinate with vendors and maintain role-based access controls.
  • Oversee and maintain network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, video conferencing, VOIP, and hardware connectivity to ensure smooth operations.
  • Procure, set up, and deploy IT hardware and software for new and existing users; provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for all staff.
  • Deliver technical assistance across all company locations and remote users, including warehouse automation; manage IT ticketing and documentation.
  • Support senior IT staff and enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, Shopify); implement initiatives to reduce e-waste and minimize the carbon footprint of IT operations.
  • Manage IT Ticketing system and IT documentation

Education and Experience

  • Technology Administration Professional or similar like accreditation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows 11, MacOS and Microsoft Office 365 administration
  • Networking proficiency in Routers, Switches and WiFi access points
  • At least 5 years working experience as a IT Administrator
