Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a solid background in food service management. This role is crucial in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences while maintaining a smooth and efficient front-of-house operation.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, to ensure high-quality service.
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and handling standards in compliance with health regulations.
  • Manage the restaurant's POS system, including cash handling and transaction accuracy.
  • Train and mentor staff in customer service techniques, food preparation, and menu knowledge.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area to enhance guest experience.
  • Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
  • Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management and leadership.
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Experience in interviewing and training staff members effectively.
  • Background in hospitality or hotel experience is a plus.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
