Brief Job Description

General duties including traying, wrapping, boxing and un-boxing products, bagging, labelling and shift sanitation duties.

Responsibilities

  • Packaging/Sealing of meat products
  • Keep up to production line speed while: bagging, boxing and un-boxing products, labeling, shift sanitation duties, traying, and wrapping.
  • Assist with various tasks as assigned by lead hands and production supervisors.
  • Work as part of a team environment.
  • Be willing to adhere to all hygienic food safe and WorkSafeBC requirements in the plant.
  • Assisting with various other tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
  • Physically fit and able to lift, push, and/or pull, weight of up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience in food manufacturing within a fast-paced environment is an asset.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ensure safe and hygienic practices are applied to all tasks performed.
  • Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.

Working Conditions

  • Regular working hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week from 6:00am to 2:30pm, overtime may be required based on business needs.
  • Availability to work on Saturdays and shift work, pending operational requirements.
  • Breaks: 2 x 30-minute breaks, per the current CBA.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.94 per hour
