Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Physiotherapist (client ages ranges include 2 years - 17 years old) to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. Based in the local community, this role is vital in providing specialized care to children and families impacted by developmental disabilities, aligning with our mission to make a meaningful difference. The successful candidate will provide home-based visits to children who require physiotherapy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physiotherapy assessments and interventions tailored to pediatric clients.
  • Setting goals for child within FSCD documentation and tracking progress quarterly.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Support families through education on therapeutic strategies.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to ongoing research and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in clinic, hospital settings, and pediatrics - Northern Star conducts home-based visits located in Edmonton and greater area.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach.
  • Relevant licensure or certification as a Physiotherapist in the province of Alberta.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Prior experience working with children with developmental disabilities (training provided if required)
