Position DescriptionThe Research Technologist I is responsible for applying general technical knowledge and skills to perform routine standardized laboratory research techniques and procedures
Here's What You'll Get To Do
- Provide technical assistance to fellows, students and researchers or working on one main project or several smaller projects designed by the investigator
- Perform under general supervision a variety of diversified assignments of a technical nature
- Plan tests, measure and make simple components
- Set up and maintain lab equipment
- Assist in developing, devising or improving existing methods, practices and procedures
- Order and maintain inventories of supplies, animals and equipment
- Communicate and maintain records of experimental data
- Assume responsibility for accuracy of techniques using established policies and procedures to resolve technical problems
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and accept responsibility
- Assist and/or train other lab personnel
- Understand importance and demonstrates ability to foster a culture of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
Here's What You'll Need
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communications
- A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity and inclusion objectives
Employment Type: Temporary 4 month contract, 1.0 FTE
