Lane Technician

BCRS Road safe inc. is a leading traffic control company in western Canada looking for experienced highway Lane Closure Technicians (LCT) in Vancouver area, candidates will collaborate closely with the team to ensure the successful completion of projects and capitalize on growth prospects. This role directly reports to BCRS's Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting traffic control around cities, highway, construction sites, Film sites and major events or sporting events
• Safely setting up and tearing down worksites
• Validate and adhere to safety protocols.
• Report improper or hazardous work practices and conditions.
• Maintain trucks in accordance with manufacturer specifications and monitor mileage to optimize fuel efficiency.
• Develop positive relationships with clients to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Equipment Setup, Maintenance, and Inspection:

• Set up and maintain traffic control equipment.
• Regularly inspect devices to ensure safety and compliance.

Traffic and Pedestrian Direction:

• Direct traffic, pedestrians, and workers at road construction sites.
• Clear communication is crucial for effective traffic management.

Public Interaction:

• Interact with the traveling public.
• Maintain a positive attitude while representing the company.

Additional Labor Tasks:

• Be flexible and perform other labor duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid BCCSA (BC Construction Safety Alliance) Certification or equivalent traffic control ticket.
• Arrive on time for work
• Be willing to work with others.
• Great communication skills Strong safety mind
• Participate in the daily toolbox meeting.
• Comfortable with the physical demands of the LCT role, including but not limited to:
• The ability to navigate a mobile dispatch app.
• Lifting up to 30 lbs
• Standing for long periods of time uninterrupted
• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working on highway as LCT (Preffered).
• Excellent communications skills
• Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
• Ability to flexibly work in various shifts (day, afternoon, night) and all weather condition
