The Warehouse and Logistics Manager oversees warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping, and receiving. This role involves customer-facing duties, logistics coordination, and leading a team to ensure efficient, cost-effective distribution and delighted Embassy customers.

What you are responsible for:

1. Warehouse, Inventory, and Logistics Management

  • Collaborate with Sales, Procurement and Customer Service on growth initiatives for efficient distribution and timely deliveries.
  • Complete and adhere to TDG training for Ground, Air, and Ocean transportation.
  • Streamline delivery and transportation processes.
  • Lead the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) implementation in your area.
  • Manage transportation of finished products and monitor vendor compliance.
  • Ensure all critical processes in your area have SOPs, team adherence and continuously update procedures to reflect the most current process.

2. Customer Service and Team Development

  • Ensure exceptional customer service in coordination with the customer service team.
  • Lead and develop warehouse team, fostering a customer-centric environment.
  • Maintain communication with customers regarding logistics and product availability.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development.
  • Conduct documented weekly one-on-one meetings and structured daily team huddles.
  • Give documented constructive feedback on a routine basis.
  • Lead our performance management process and maintain job descriptions/expectations.
  • Ensure all team members are cross-trained and there is a backup plan in place for all critical processes to support vacation time, sick calls and no-shows.

3. Inventory Control and Optimization

  • Manage inventory levels to balance service and cost.
  • Collaborate on ERP/AWMS/TMS initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy.
  • Perform physical inventory counts and review replenishment settings.

4. Health, Safety, and Compliance

  • Supports all food safety initiatives, including (but not limited to) BRCGS, HACCP, GMPs, Allergens, GFCP, Kosher, Halal, Customer Requirements (Such as Costco standards and Kraft Standards).
  • All activities performed shall ensure food safety, authenticity, legality and quality of our products.
  • Conduct safety audits and champion incident investigations as required.
  • Ensure training for safe and efficient operations reporting all near misses.
  • Follow all company policies and seek permission for requests outside of the policy.
  • Conduct all opportunity investigations on-time.

5. Performance and Budget Management

  • Set departmental objectives and effectively communicate performance targets.
  • Report on departmental performance, including daily and monthly metrics.
  • Continually review transportation and freight costs to ensure rates are competitive.

6. Continuous Improvement (CI)

  • Drive CI initiatives to improve processes and achieve departmental goals.
  • Sponsor and champion in CI projects and Kaizen events.
  • Submit capital requests for CI-related improvements as needed.
  • Duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time.

What you need to bring to Embassy:

  • College/University education in a related field or industry certification, with 5 years of experience.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in PC and mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in using RF scanners.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Physical ability to lift, up to 25 kg and work all shifts.
  • Excellent organizational & problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and maintain accuracy while performing work.
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic & fast paced work environment.

Environmental Conditions

  • Exposures to high-decibel, and dusty environment (non-toxic food ingredients).
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment per company standards.
  • Limited exposure to cold temperatures (outside, fridge and freezer).
