Assistant Spa Manager

The KurSpa is currently hiring for an Assistant KurSpa Manager. This position will support our Spa Manager, as well as the entire Spa and Sparkling Hill team The role of Assistant KurSpa Manager requires a candidate who can combine all aspects of spa management to ensure cohesive and consistent operations. The ideal candidate should have experience in both guest-facing & reception operations as well as management of treatments & services in a large, full-service spa. A successful candidate would apply these skills to facilitate effective coordination between KurSpa subdepartments and streamline processes, improve communication and ultimately ensure consistent top-tier guest service.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure all guests receive the highest level of hospitality from all spa associates.
• Demonstrate proficiency in staff scheduling, guest reservations, and thorough knowledge of the booking system.
• Support the team in maintaining strong working knowledge of all products, services, guest protocols, and rituals.
• Provide coverage when needed to ensure the guest experience is never compromised.
• Oversee and promote positive communication among spa departments.
• Maintain knowledge of and assist with the development of treatments and services
• Ensure service and treatment training are regularly held and audited for quality
• Work closely with Spa Practitioners and Estheticians to ensure consistency in treatment quality and execution
• Assist with weekly and monthly inventory counts to ensure accuracy and appropriate product and stock levels
• Administrative tasks such as invoicing and billing.
• Process payroll as required.
• Drive retail and add-on sales with promotions, challenges and other offers
• Assist with the coordination and oversight of the Spa Attendant and Maintenance teams to ensure the facility is always clean and in good working order
• Assist in the review and development of new structures, policies and procedures under the direction of the Spa Manager
• Monitor productivity levels, room utilization and other performance metrics
• Assist with and resolve guest complaints in a prompt and professional manner
• Coordinate with other departments on group blocks and bookings, weeklong packages, VIP guests, and other relevant matters
• Assist with the oversight of the Fitness program as directed by the Spa Manager
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Experience in Hospitality and Spa environment is required.
• Previous experience with performing spa services including massage, body treatments and esthetics is considered an asset.
• Previous Leadership experience in a spa environment is preferred.
• Possess a strong background in guest service
• Basic accounting skills and strong computer skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Outstanding communication skills
• Ability to role model and maintain a positive attitude

• Ability to multitask, prioritize and demonstrate strong decision-making skills
• Deliver excellent guest resolution
