Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle food and beverage orders accurately, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This role is essential in ensuring a positive experience for our guests and supporting smooth restaurant operations. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. The Counter Attendant will be responsible for food preparation, cashiering, and maintaining food safety standards to deliver high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS and handle cash transactions with precision.
  • Prepare simple food items in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, including food handling and kitchen surfaces.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Provide friendly customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation standards.

Skills

  • Experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering within a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and communication.
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order calculations.
  • Effective time management to handle multiple orders during peak hours efficiently.
  • Ability to upsell menu items to enhance sales while maintaining excellent service standards.
  • Kitchen experience or familiarity with the food industry is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for all necessary skills. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
