Role Summary:

Expert-level technician responsible for independently completing installations, servicing, commissioning, and implementing full security systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently install, service, and repair access control, CCTV, intercom, and alarm systems for commercial and residential applications.
  • Interpret scopes of work, drawings, schematics, and specifications without supervision.
  • Identify and design cable routes, support methods, device layouts, and equipment placement.
  • Complete paperwork, documentation, commissioning forms, and customer sign-offs.
  • Communicate directly with Project Managers/Coordinators regarding status, changes, and site issues.
  • Coordinate and communicate with multiple sub-trades on site.
  • Interface professionally with customers and their representatives.
  • Perform system programming at an intermediate level (access control, CCTV, alarms).
  • Conduct site surveys and define system requirements for small to medium-sized systems.
  • Ensure compliance with OBC and all applicable electrical/security standards.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong technical expertise and ability to work fully independently.
  • Competence in device installation, system programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to lead small installations and guide Tech-1 and Helpers when required.
