In this role, you'll use your advanced behavioural intervention skills to provide individualized support that promotes personal growth, community inclusion, and overall quality of life. Working closely with each individual, you'll help implement effective behavioural support strategies, encourage skill development, and foster a safe, respectful, and empowering environment.

With its humble beginning in 1993, Supported has grown tremendously and is one of Calgary's largest agencies in the Human Service industry. Lifestyles Ltd. is a not-for-profit agency that provides services to adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.
Responsibilities
As a Complex Needs Specialist, you'll use your advanced behavioural intervention skills each day to provide high-quality, individualized support to the people you serve. You'll play a key role in promoting personal growth, community inclusion, and an enhanced quality of life for each individual. This includes offering compassionate behavioural and emotional support, assisting with data collection and analysis, and helping to develop and implement behavioural support plans tailored to each person's needs. You'll also engage in community and recreational activities that foster social connection and skill development. Through your expertise and dedication, you'll help individuals reach their goals while upholding Supported Lifestyles Ltd.'s mission, philosophy, and commitment to delivering exceptional, person-centered services.
Schedule
Typical schedules during the week include day shifts (8am-4pm), evening shifts (4pm-10pm) and overnight shifts (10pm-8am). Typical weekend schedules could include day and evening shifts (8am-4pm, 4pm-10pm and overnight shifts 10pm-8am).
Qualifications/Requirements
- A diploma in a related field (e.g. Human Services, Social Work, Psychology etc.) or a degree in any discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution is required
- Own Vehicle with a Valid Class 5 License is required
- At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with complex mental health challenges (e.g., psychosis, addiction, schizophrenia)
- Experience providing behavioural supports to clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Compensation
The wage for this position is based on education and experience and ranges from $ /hour. We also offer a competitive benefits package for 30+ hour positions.
