Plow Truck Operator Duties

  • Operate plow truck and salter as per contract requirements, safely and efficiently
  • Operate specialized equipment including Winter equipment (Snowblowers, snow shovels etc)
  • Clear and salt sidewalks as necessary
  • Understand route map and salt application rates
  • Meet on call requirements during a winter storm event
  • Maintain/clean equipment and perform routine checks as required
  • Perform other duties as required

Equipment Operator Duties

  • Skillfully operate skid steer, mini excavator and/or other required equipment
  • Perform routine checks and maintain of equipment
  • Assist in other excavation related duties such as but not limited to- shoveling, raking, clean up

Qualified individual must have-

  • Previous snow clearing/salting experience, preferably commercial
  • Clean drivers abstract
  • Excellent skid steer/ mini excavator operating skills
  • Be available on a on-call basis (7 days a week) during winter season
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Preference given to individuals with DZ licence
  • Preference given to individuals residing in Welland/Thorold/Fonthill area

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$27.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
