The Opportunity
Shape the World Around You – As a Co-op Student in our Bridges team in Edmonton, you'll be part of the projects that define tomorrow's transportation networks. From field inspections to engineering support, your contributions will help improve infrastructure across Alberta.
Your Impact
- Support bridge inspection and engineering projects in both field and office environments
- Conduct ASTM and modified field tests to ensure quality and compliance
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory and mobile testing equipment
- Collect and organize field data for efficient reporting and analysis
- Travel across Alberta with mobile testing crews, working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Assist in setting up temporary construction zones and performing safety duties
- Prepare client reports that inform project decisions and outcomes
Collaborate closely with a team throughout the summer to deliver impactful results
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Enrolled in a Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology co-op program at a recognized post-secondary institution
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract
- Comfortable with physically demanding work and long hours in outdoor environments
- Experience or interest in field testing, data collection, and technical reporting
- Willingness to travel and adapt to changing work environments
- Passion for infrastructure and making a difference in communities
