Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic with experience working on trucks, diesel engines, snow plows, and landscaping equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic and repair skills, with the ability to rebuild, service, and maintain our fleet and machinery. This role is essential to keeping our trucks, plows, and equipment in top condition for year-round landscaping and snow removal operations.
Duties
- Diagnose, repair, and rebuild diesel and gas truck engines.
- Service and repair snow plows, landscaping machinery, and hardscape equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and tune-ups to ensure equipment reliability.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel systems.
- Rebuild and refurbish plows and truck components as needed.
- Order, install, and test replacement parts to ensure proper performance.
- Maintain accurate service records and follow maintenance schedules.
- Occasionally assist with equipment setup or general labor tasks if required
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic with diesel engines, trucks, plows, or heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of engine diagnostics, rebuilds, and repairs.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems, welding, and electrical troubleshooting is an asset.
- Experience rebuilding or fabricating mechanical components preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to lift and handle tools, parts, and equipment.
- Flexibility to support field crews when needed.
