Duties

  • Diagnose, repair, and rebuild diesel and gas truck engines.
  • Service and repair snow plows, landscaping machinery, and hardscape equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and tune-ups to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel systems.
  • Rebuild and refurbish plows and truck components as needed.
  • Order, install, and test replacement parts to ensure proper performance.
  • Maintain accurate service records and follow maintenance schedules.
  • Occasionally assist with equipment setup or general labor tasks if required

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a mechanic with diesel engines, trucks, plows, or heavy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of engine diagnostics, rebuilds, and repairs.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems, welding, and electrical troubleshooting is an asset.
  • Experience rebuilding or fabricating mechanical components preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Physical ability to lift and handle tools, parts, and equipment.
  • Flexibility to support field crews when needed.
