Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk, providing exceptional service to patients while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This position requires familiarity with medical terminology and experience in a medical or dental office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
  • Handle incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, addressing inquiries and directing calls as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Process patient information, including insurance details and medical histories.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Assist with billing inquiries and payment processing as necessary.
  • Keep the front desk area organized and stocked with necessary supplies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical or dental office is preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with patients and staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks performed.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
