Research Project: mâmawatoskêwak (working together as a team): A Narrative of Collaborative First Nations Education Leadership
This research will explore the role and value of collaborative First Nations educational leadership by exploring the development and sustainability of leadership networks; how those collaborations contribute to the growth and effectiveness of network members; and what an emerging model of collaboration means for First Nations educational leaders.
The Research Assistant will participate in project orientation and training; review the associated literature; co-create recruitment materials and the research workplan and timeline; and participate in a project planning retreat and routinely scheduled meetings. They will co-facilitate information and recruitment sessions for prospective Executive Leadership Teams; support project scheduling; participate in sharing circle facilitation, data management, interpretive circles, and member checks; and engage with the analysis and synthesis of leadership practices and the development of a collaborative leadership model.
You will report to Dr. Gordon Martell.
Required Number of Hours: 7 hours per week
Duration of Employment: October 23, 2025 – December 31, 2025.
