Job Description
Our client, a rapidly growing organization with employees across Canada and the US, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team near the Fredericton, NB area. This is a 12-Month contract position.
As the successful candidate, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while supporting employees, management, and external agencies in a fast-paced and engaged environment.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
Process accurate and timely Canadian and US payrolls, with focus on Quebec requirementsCollect, analyze, and verify payroll data, ensuring integrity throughout the payroll cycleReview timesheets, validate hours, and calculate special payments in compliance with legislationAdminister payroll documentation, recordkeeping, and employee file maintenanceSupport payroll audits, reporting, and year-end procedures (T4s, T4As, W2s, Relevé 1s, etc.)Resolve payroll issues and process adjustments as neededIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and serviceProvide excellent internal customer service to employees and managementPerform other payroll and administrative duties as assignedExperience & Attributes for Success:
College diploma in Accounting, Business, or equivalent work experience2+ years of experience in a high-volume payroll environmentProfessional payroll certification (PCP) or demonstrated payroll expertiseExperience with full-cycle payroll, including complex tax calculationsStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentIntermediate to advanced Excel skills and strong computer/system proficiencyExperience with ADP or Jonas is an assetIf interested in this opportunity, please apply online by clicking the Apply Now button.
