Staff Infrastructure Engineer

• Own system design & infrastructure (75%): Architect, implement, and ship solutions quickly (you'll deliver meaningful impact within your first 2 weeks)

• Collaborate & mentor (25%): Partner with stakeholders, run lunch-and-learns, and raise the bar for technical excellence.

• Be a builder: Take concepts from idea to production — whether it's a critical component of the infra stack or a major system capability.

• Scale with confidence: Help us evolve our infrastructure to support rapid product and user growth.

• Champion automation & reliability: Deliver Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and reusable frameworks.
  

• 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure / Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevOps within cloud-native environments.

• Strong hands-on skills with AWS or GCP, administration of Kubernetes clusters, Terraform (or other IaC tools), and Python.

• A deep understanding of code-based infrastructure that is simple, reusable, and maintainable.

• Proven ability to navigate complex technical challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Strong communication skills — able to explain technical tradeoffs clearly and drive alignment across teams.

• A fast learner who thrives in cross-functional collaboration (infra, data, ML, product).

• Motivation from our mission-driven impact — we only succeed when victims and their attorneys succeed.
  

• Experience with monitoring & observability (Prometheus, Grafana, or similar).

• Building reusable CI/CD release pipelines across multiple teams.

• Database administration experience (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, BigQuery).

• Exposure to event-driven systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Tempora, Apache Pulsar).

• Familiarity with QA frameworks and automated testing for infrastructure.

• Background with data / ML tooling (ETL pipelines, Weights & Biases, DBT, BigQuery, Elasticsearch).
