Job Description:

The Targeted 1:1 COE job family encompasses Targeted marketing Campaign execution from planning, through execution, to performance tracking. These roles are responsible for partnering with internal business units/channels and Marketing experts across the organization to create and execute world class marketing strategies, plans and campaigns that drive shareholder value and increase customer loyalty. As key business partners, targeted marketers act as consultants on all aspects of targeted marketing, influencing the marketing strategy, as well as ensuring that marketing programs are delivered flawlessly, leveraging data and insights, with the best customer experience. Roles in this job family include a range of capabilities for developing, executing and managing communications across Marketing, in support of business objectives and in alignment with the TD brand.​​

Key practice areas for this job family include but are not limited to the following: creating consumer insights, monitoring trends, building marketing plans, developing/executing integrated marketing campaigns, campaign management, agency collaboration, management of the marketing budget and measuring/optimizing results.​

Targeted Marketing tactics and channels include but are not limited to the following: Email, Direct Mail, Advice Prompts (EasyWeb/Mobile/Branch/Phone), Statement Messages/Inserts, OBTM, Leads, IVR. Practitioners utilize owned channels within branch, contact centre, ATM, mobile, public and secure site as well as paid channels.​​ The Marketing job family is considered a specialized professional practice that requires a thorough understanding of the businesses supported and broader organization/operating model, Marketing Campaign Ecosystem, formal or advanced education, highly specialized knowledge and/or relevant experience.​

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager Targeted Marketing, this role is responsible for the execution of targeted marketing campaigns, journeys, and programs, demonstrating measurable outcomes/results in line with business strategies, ensuring alignment with internal marketing standards and best practices. As a knowledgeable Targeting Marketing professional, this role acts as a consultant, providing thought leadership on requirements, best practices, and targeted/testing strategy and design to drive optimal business results and customer experience.   

Customer

  • Partner with Marketing Planning, Delivery, Channel and Vendor teams in the development and execution of best-in-class targeted marketing​

  • Participate in quarterly and annual planning activities​

  • Understand role of different channel and personalization options and their impact on achieving marketing objectives and use this understanding to influence program design​

  • Work with marketing partners and AI2 to develop appropriate customers insights to drive outcomes and continuously improve targeted marketing

  • Oversee flawless execution of tactical plans working with internal and vendor partners​

  • Manage to budget allocations​

  • Adhere to all approved marketing processes and procedures to manage projects in the most effective way (on time, on target, on budget) from initiation to completion​

  • Navigate through roadblocks by engaging key stakeholders/sponsors and working through to resolution​

  • Provide ongoing communication to ensure appropriate stakeholders are engaged and notified of progress, changes, and results.​

  • Participate in evaluating the effectiveness of projects/ plans after implementation; assist in compiling, analyzing, and communicating feedback from various internal/ external stakeholders, help develop recommendations, and incorporate changes into the future ​

  • Maintain appropriate project records, databases and information; reports to management and others on project status and updates​

  • Monitor and understand trends, identify issues and opportunities and provide recommended action to relevant stakeholders​

 Shareholder

  • Prioritize and manage own workload to meet service level requirements for service and productivity

  • Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for respective business area(s)​

  • Ensure respective programs/policies/practices are well managed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business priorities​

  • Participate in cross-functional / enterprise / initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations​

  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate​

  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and ensure the prompt and thorough resolution of escalated non-standard, high risk issues​

  • Conduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/policies/practices

  • Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities exists​

  • Lead / facilitate and/or implement actions / remediation plans to address performance / risk / governance issues​

  • Apply subject matter expertise in the discipline, provide guidance, assistance and direction to others​

  • Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements​

  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts​

  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite​

  • Oversee or lead the facilitation and/or implementation of action / remediation plans to address performance / risk / governance issues​

  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely       communication of issues/ points of interest​

  • Provide thought leadership and/ or industry knowledge for own area of expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit​

 Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required

  • 5+ years relevant experience

  • A self-motivator with excellent organizational and communications skills to prioritize and multi-task in a collaborative or independent setting

  • Proficient knowledge of multiple marketing principles and disciplines, strategy development, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, and product/customer markets

  • Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
