Role Overview
We are seeking a Receptionist / Front of House Administrator to be the welcoming face of our company and provide essential administrative support to our appraisal and valuation team. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, personable, and proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and callers, delivering a professional and friendly welcome.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and client consultations.
- Maintain and update client databases, spreadsheets, and records accurately using Microsoft Excel.
- Prepare reports, letters, and other documentation as required.
- Support the appraisal team with administrative tasks, including document preparation and file management.
- Assist in coordinating client onboarding and information gathering.
- Ensure the reception area and meeting rooms are tidy and presentable at all times.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and courier services.
- Provide ad-hoc administrative support to management and team members.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a receptionist, front of house, or administrative role (professional services experience desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — confident when dealing with clients and colleagues.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- A proactive, positive attitude with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Professional appearance and manner.
