Scheifele Erskine & Renken is a well-established firm in Meaford and Thornbury that provides a full range of real estate legal services to our valued clients. Our team is well equipped to address any real estate matters, from simple closings of purchases, sales, mortgage, and refinances, to acting on behalf of home builders, mortgage lenders and private lenders, or as the trusted legal advisor to businesses on corporate and transactional matters.

We are currently looking to add a Real Estate Law Clerk to our growing and dynamic firm.

Responsibilities include, and are not limited to:

  • Performance of administrative work related to files, including: opening files, conducting title and execution searches, preparing all closing documents and final reports to clients and mortgage lenders, preparation of accounts and client billings in a timely manner, closing files and maintaining an active filing system.
  • The ability to work independently on all matters involving the preparation of standard and legal documents pertaining to real estate transactions.
  • Working in Unity and Teraview, as well as being proficient in standard office software and equipment.
  • Effectively communicate in professional verbal and written form to clients, lenders, agents, and members of the public.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • The skills to manage legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence.

Full-time, Permanent Position.

Salary will be based on experience.
