Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical work, including residential and comercial maintenance and construction experience. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on expertise with various tools and equipment. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in both residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Work with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations while performing duties.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in an industrial or construction setting.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to electrical work.
  • Must be able to speak read, and understand English.
  • Must be a resident of Canada.
  • Must have a valid drivers license with a clean abstract.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
