In the past 3-5 years, McCain global Agriculture has embarked on a digital transformation journey, implementing global digital systems and capturing tremendous amount of data. Along this journey, the need to design cross-regional standardized processes has stood up as a key success criteria. This work is currently on-going. With the AI revolution we want to be sure that our processes are designed for the future and enable maximum efficiency. The transformation is therefore a continuous effort, we are determined to continue to innovate to drive value and efficiency across our global agriculture business.

The Business Process Optimization Lead is positioned as a strategic leader, driving process harmonization and continuous improvement on a global scale—ensuring that both business and digital transformation goals are achieved.

For this position, we are seeking an innovative, data-driven individual with a proven background in business process design, analytical thinking, problem solving, AI-experimentation, program transformation and communication skills.

About the role.

The Global Agriculture Business Process Optimization Lead will play a key role in McCain transformation success, driving value, efficiency and transforming our agriculture business.

You will work with cross-functional and cross- regional teams, as well as our digital product team and our data& analytics team to support the business transformation.

This role involves creating, optimizing, monitoring global business processes with our Regional process owners, demonstrating a strong digital mindset and the ability to identify and drive AI opportunities for efficiency.

Beyond process design, the role demands leadership in change management, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement—always with a focus on delivering measurable business value and supporting strategic goals

What you'll be doing.

Facilitation and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead workshops and collaborative sessions with multiple regional stakeholders, ensuring inclusive participation and capturing diverse perspectives.
  • Align business process owners and interlocutors from different regions on common standards, best practices, and process objectives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for process-related discussions, ensuring transparent and effective communication.

Process Design and Standardization

  • Define, document, and optimize business processes, leveraging input from regional teams and global process owners to ensure relevance and scalability.
  • Challenge the status quo by critically assessing existing practices and proposing innovative, future-ready solutions.
  • Support Regions in their fit-gap analysis targeting maximum harmonization to drive consistency, and efficiency

Digital and AI Enablement

  • Identify opportunities for digital transformation, automation, and process improvement, including where AI can serve as a lever for efficiency and value creation.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Transformation Product team to ensure solutions are aligned with business goals and process requirements.

Process Implementation Oversight and Change Management

  • Monitor optimized processes are implemented in each region, ensuring adherence to agreed standards.
  • Support Regional change management strategies to facilitate smooth adoption and minimize disruption.
  • Implement a peer business process implementation assessment

Governance and Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and maintain robust governance for process management, including regular meetings to drive accountability.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement

Performance Measurement and Reporting

  • Define, collect, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to process effectiveness, efficiency, and business impact.
  • Collaborate with our SCA (Sustainable Cost Advantage) team to ensure KPIs are aligned with business objectives.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities for further improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between Regional teams, and the Digital Transformation Product team to ensure mutual understanding.
  • Support knowledge transfer and capability building across the organization to embed process excellence and digital mindset.

What you'll need to be successful.

Education: Master's Degree In Business Administration (MBA), Engineering, Data Science for Business or a related field.

Professional Experience

  • Experience in Business Process Management: At least 8 years of experience in designing and optimizing business processes.
  • Digital Transformation Experience: Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives.
  • Global Exposure: Experience working in a global role or with multinational teams.
  • AI and Technology Integration: Experience in integrating AI solutions into business processes.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated leadership skills, including managing cross-functional teams and projects.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align business processes with organizational goals.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to address complex business challenges
  • Change Management: Expertise in change management principles and methodologies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with global teams.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills to work with diverse teams across different regions.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Digital Literacy: In-depth understanding of digital technologies and data analytics.
  • AI & Data analytics curiosity, certification will be a plus
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Workshop facilitation: Experience in conducting stakeholder interviews, facilitating requirement gathering sessions, documenting functional and business processes
  • Innovative mindset: A forward-thinking approach to identify and implement innovative solutions.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Focus on delivering value to internal and external customers
  • Familiarity with the food/agriculture industry, as this can help in understanding specific business requirements and processes.

Compensation Package: $97, $130,000.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
