We partner with dedicated home childcare Providers to deliver high quality childcare across Ontario. We are seeking an experienced people manager to lead and support our team of Agency Supervisors in multiple regions.
Summary
The Senior Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and consistency across multiple Wee Watch agencies. You will directly oversee a team of Agency Supervisors, guiding and supporting them in achieving performance, quality, and compliance goals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will be instrumental in coaching and assisting Supervisors in building accountable and productive teams and operating their agencies to meet and exceed standards. You will also have oversight of a team of placement coordinators. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned leader who thrives on building strong teams, managing risk, and driving operational success. Childcare Industry experience is an asset but not a requirement.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Agency Supervisors, marketing staff and placement coordinators across multiple agencies
- Manage the recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and, where necessary, progressive discipline of Supervisors and Placement Coordinators
- Support Supervisors with staffing and performance management of Home Visitors and their agency staff
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality of childcare services delivered
- Ensure all agencies operate in full compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), licensing requirements, and Wee Watch policies
- Identify and mitigate operational and regulatory risks, and oversee responses to incidents, audits, and compliance reviews
- Support agencies during audits and inspections; oversee incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action plans and address escalated parent concerns and ensure timely resolution
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices across all agencies
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting as required by Wee Watch and the Ministry of Education and ensure that all agency financial and grant reporting is accurate and delivered by deadlines
Qualifications
- An experienced leader with minimum of
5 years
of progressive people management experience, including at least 2 years managing supervisors or managers - Bachelor's degree
- ECE or proven experience with licensing compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., CCEYA) is an asset
- Must be able to travel regularly to sites across Ontario (Mississauga, Durham, St. Catherine's, London)
