Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and automotive repair skills, along with excellent customer service abilities. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and providing roadside assistance to customers in need. This role requires a commitment to safety, professionalism, and the ability to work independently in various conditions.

Duties

  • Operate tow trucks and other vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Respond promptly to calls for roadside assistance, including vehicle towing and recovery.
  • Assess the condition of vehicles and determine the appropriate towing method.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during stressful situations.
  • Perform minor automotive repairs when necessary to assist stranded motorists.
  • Maintain accurate records of services rendered, including mileage and fuel consumption.
  • Conduct regular inspections of towing equipment to ensure safety compliance.
  • Assist in loading and unloading vehicles onto tow trucks using proper techniques.
  • Collaborate with dispatchers to prioritize calls and manage time effectively.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred; a clean driving record is essential.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair are highly desirable.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Previous experience in commercial driving or towing operations is an advantage.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects.
