Inspired by the flavours of our childhood and the joy of sharing food, we serve artisanal pastries, Peruvian inspired desserts, specialty coffee, all day brunch, and happy hour.

We are a women led business that believes every detail matters.We are now looking for a Cook - Full Time to join our opening team and bring Lavinia's brunch and kitchen menu to life.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves food, teamwork, and creating dishes that feel both beautiful and comforting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes from Lavinia's brunch and all day menu with consistency and care
  • Execute daily mise en place and follow established recipes and plating standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support coordination and communication between front and back of house
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Assist with prep, inventory, and kitchen organization
  • Work collaboratively during service to ensure a smooth flow and timely execution

Skills and Attributes

  • Passion for cooking and hospitality
  • Strong sense of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently during busy periods
  • Team oriented, reliable, and proactive
  • Interest in Peruvian flavours, seasonal ingredients, and brunch culture

Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a line cook or brunch cook in a café or restaurant
  • Knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
  • Food Safe Level 1 (required)
  • Availability on weekends and mornings
