Salary: $50,000 annually

Facing History & Ourselves is an education non-profit organization that challenges teachers and students to use lessons of history to stand up to racism, antisemitism, and other forms of bigotry and hate.
Who we are: Facing History & Ourselves is an educational nonprofit that provides educational content, curriculum resources, and professional development to secondary school social studies, civics, humanities, and English teachers. Facing History�s educational content is informed by a unique pedagogical model that helps students explore questions of identity, human behavior, prejudice, and civic responsibility, and make the essential connection between history and the moral choices they confront in their own lives today. Our work seeks to empower and inspire teachers and students to lead our communities to a more just and compassionate world.
Facing History & Ourselves� global footprint is made up of three organizations, one in the United States, one in the UK, and one here in Canada. Facing History and Ourselves� Canadian organization consists of a dynamic and collegial team of five people. We have deep collaborative partnerships with many school boards and major cultural, history and learning institutions across Ontario, and a trusted relationship with educators and school leaders across the country. Facing HIstory and Ourselves became a registered Canadian charity in 2008, and has supported over 17,000 educators across Canada with resources and professional development.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting program efforts of Facing History Canada including: overseeing the administrative aspects of program (i.e. professional learning, conferences, content publication and distribution, coaching) delivery and follow up; managing events set up, communications, logistics, registration, on-call support and post-event processes; communicating directly with schools, teachers, and administrators; digital design and drafting of program and event marketing and communications; work with program team to develop, design and publish weekly IG social media content.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide overall administrative support for the region�s Program work, including outreach and promotion of events, logistical organization, preparation of materials and resources, and follow up with educators.
Maintain and update various knowledge management systems, including: research, data tracking and reporting to support outreach, strategy and program evaluation.
Manage workshop and seminar application process, including reviewing applications, corresponding with applicants, processing scholarship applications
Maintain and update various knowledge management systems, including: research, data tracking and reporting to support outreach, strategy and program evaluation.
Create and update and ensure accuracy of Salesforce records
Partner with Program team in various capacities; provide in person and online support when needed
Perform other related duties as required by position
Skills & Experience:
BA/BS or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year experience in administrative support role
Proven experience working in remote environment while maintaining excellent customer service, timely communication, and the ability to self motivate
Exhibit flexibility and a willingness to learn and grow
Ability to multitask and manage various tasks and projects simultaneously
Excellent computer skills, including experience with Google Suite, Zoom, Canva, Salesforce, and Hubspot experience strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail
Interest in and ability to articulate the mission of Facing History & Ourselves; Passion for strengthening of local communities
