Warehouse Coordinator

Blackfin Doors & Gates is a new company entering the Victoria, BC market. Our primary focus will be on the installation and service of overhead residential garage doors, commercial parkade and rolling steel doors, and driveway gates. Please note that we are only considering applicants with previous experience at this time.

Position Overview

Our Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for supporting day to day field operations, ordering and receiving parts, coordinating delivery of freight, maintaining the warehouse and assisting with maintenance of accurate and consistent project records. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, high level of organization, strong communication, customer service skills and commitment to quality control will be essential in meeting the guidelines of this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Parts: Create purchase orders and inventory reports and review with General Manager before finalizing orders. Receive parts and complete associated documentation as required to assist the Accounting Clerk in their duties.
  • Freight: Coordinate with suppliers to create accurate records of freight to be picked up and provide the Freight driver with all necessary documentation. Ensure that all required transportation bookings are made in a timely manner and adjusted as needed.
  • Operations: Assist the Project Managers in ensuring that all records are complete with purchase orders and inform them when product is arriving so that they can schedule installation. Support all technicians with delivery of requested parts as needed in the field.
  • Warehouse: Ensure the Warehouse is kept clean and organized at all times.
  • Representation: Represent Blackfin Doors and Gates within the community, maintaining professionalism and meeting all customer service guidelines.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience as a Warehouse Coordinator required, preferably in a service-related field. First Aid Certification is considered an asset.
  • At heights: Must be able to work at heights utilizing ladders, scissor lifts or other equipment. Certification for scissor lifts and forklifts will be provided after 90 days if not already obtained. We will provide standard PPE equipment as part of this position.
  • Organization: Must be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and successfully while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Programs: Must have a high level of competency in Microsoft Office and Quickbooks Desktop.
  • Driver's License: Valid Class 5 Driver's License is preferred, with a clean driver's abstract.
