About Us

Eston Nurture & Grow Childcare is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality, licensed, and government subsidized child care to the town of Eston and surrounding area. Our newly built centre is set to open in January 2026 and will be licensed for 40 spaces for children aged 6 weeks to school aged children. We will be open Monday to Friday from 7:15am–5:45pm.

We are seeking enthusiastic and caring Early Childhood Educators to join our team. In this role, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Provide early learning and care that reflects the centre's philosophy and values
  • Ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of all children in care
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs in collaboration with families, colleagues, and the community
  • Follow all operational policies, procedures, and licensing standards
  • Support inclusive practices that encourage participation and success for every child
  • Develop and lead engaging activities that align with the Play & Exploration curriculum
  • Assist children with daily routines, including diapering, toileting, hygiene, and other personal needs
  • Build positive relationships and open communication with families, staff, and community partners

Qualifications

  • Early Childhood Education certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience and/or strong interest in working with young children in an early learning environment
  • Understanding of inclusive practices and supporting diverse needs
  • Willingness to complete additional ECE training to meet certification requirements (if applicable)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well
  • Current Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • CPR-C and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Minimum 16 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada
