About the Role

We're looking for a
Senior Financial Consultant
to join our client's accounting team in
Woodbridge
on a
5-month onsite contract
. This is a
hands-on role
responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and supporting ongoing finance projects, including ERP implementation initiatives.

This position is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage
    full-cycle accounting
    , including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Lead
    month-end and year-end close processes
    , ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze
    monthly financial statements, variance reports, and supporting schedules
    .
  • Support
    ERP system implementation or process improvement projects
    , including testing and data validation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to senior management as required.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation
    (CA, CMA, or CGA)
    required
    .
  • 5+ years
    of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with
    ERP systems
    or
    system implementation projects
    .
  • Advanced Excel skills
    (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling).
  • Insurance industry experience is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a "hands-on" mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in an
    onsite, fast-paced environment
    .
