About the Role

We're looking for someone who takes pride in keeping a building running smoothly and genuinely enjoys supporting tenants and their team.

As the Building Superintendent, you'll be the go-to person on site—ensuring tenants are cared for, systems run reliably, and the building remains safe, clean, and welcoming.

This role is perfect for someone who excels at identifying problems and providing hands-on solutions – especially with mechanical and HVAC systems.

What You'll Be Doing

Daily Operations

  • Walk the building to ensure everything looks good and operates as it should.
  • Complete small repairs—basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general fixes.
  • Support HVAC and mechanical systems (training/mentorship provided).
  • Assist with seasonal tasks and scheduled maintenance routines.
  • Keep logs and digital records organized and accurate.

Helping Tenants

  • Respond to requests promptly and professionally, with a service-first mindset.
  • Help coordinate contractor visits and deliveries.
  • Assist with move-ins/move-outs and help new tenants feel supported from day one.

Working With Contractors

  • Meet technicians, guide them through the building, and ensure work meets standards and safety protocols.
  • Flag issues early and offer thoughtful, practical recommendations.

Safety & Compliance

  • Support regular checks of life safety systems and report issues quickly.
  • Lead a safe, respectful workplace by following and reinforcing building standards.

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

  • Bilingual (English/French—or specify combination).
  • 2–5 years of experience in building maintenance, trades, operations, or similar work.
  • Comfort with HVAC and mechanical basics— and willingness to keep learning.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Confident using mobile apps, email, and digital work order systems.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in commercial or office buildings.
  • Customer service or tenant facing experience
  • Exposure to BAS (Building Automation Systems).
  • Safety training (WHMIS, fire safety, first aid).
  • Ability to read basic mechanical drawings or building plans.
