Toronto, Ontario, Canada Tylite Digital Full time $45,000 - $55,000 per year

You: You're that person — passionate about film, TV, and all things social media. You live, eat, and breathe the stuff. You speak in TikTok sounds, your camera roll is 90% content ideas, and your friends trust you to make their Instagram stories look good. You're a sharp copywriter who thrives in creative spaces, always thinking outside the box (and then another box after that). You use both sides of your brain — snappy and strategic — and you're deeply plugged into pop culture and know all the latest and greatest trends. The zeitgeist? It's your best friend.

Us: We're Tylite Digital, a scrappy, boutique agency that gets it done. We create custom digital campaigns that cut through the noise and achieve our clients' goals — and we have a lot of fun doing it. Specializing in digital and social marketing for the entertainment industry, we build innovative, holistic campaigns that elevate awareness and engage audiences. Our team is made up of brand marketers, digital strategists, and content creators who thrive on collaboration and creativity. We take pride in our all-hands-on-deck mentality and our love of the work — whether that's launching a theatrical release, growing a distributors social presence, or creating the next viral moment.

Tylite Digital is looking for a Social Media Specialist who's passionate about film, entertainment, and digital storytelling. You'll lead the planning, execution, and management of social media campaigns for a range of entertainment clients. You'll develop content calendars, write engaging copy, collaborate with design and video teams, post across platforms, manage communities, and track performance — all while ensuring campaigns are on-brand, on-time, and on-point. You will report to the Director of Strategic Initiatives & Operations and work closely with them and the rest of the marketing team to build our clients' voices on social media, nurture creator relationships year-round, and strategize creative moments during key cultural touchpoints — from content shoots and advance screenings to TIFF and other festivals. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and wants to play a leading role in shaping how audiences connect with entertainment brands through social media.

Job Requirements & Duties Include:

Lead Social Campaigns

  • Manage end-to-end social campaigns for film and entertainment clients — from concept to execution
  • Ensure all content ideas are platform-first, scroll-stopping and align with brand goals, tone, and audience

Content Creation & Planning

  • Develop and oversee detailed content calendars for multiple clients, maintaining consistency in voice, style, and posting cadence
  • Work closely with graphic designer and video editor to brief and deliver high-quality social assets
  • Write engaging and on-brand copy for social media posts, ensuring accuracy, creativity, and alignment with campaign objectives
  • Handle daily posting on clients' social media accounts of prepared assets as well as sharing impromptu, timely content
  • Launch, track and manage trailer launches on YouTube & across social platforms

Community Management

  • Monitor and interact with followers across client accounts
  • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries with brand-appropriate tone and creativity
  • Identify opportunities for audience engagement and fan amplification

Performance & Reporting

  • Track campaign performance and social analytics
  • Compile insights, optimizations, and recommendations for future campaigns

Trend Spotting & Live Coverage

  • Stay on top of trends, memes, film culture, and platform updates to keep content fresh and relevant
  • Support the strategy and execution of creator-forward moments around screenings, premieres, and festivals — from concepting small but buzzy activations to larger experiential stunts
  • Attend select client events to capture and edit quick-turn live content on-site at events, screenings, and activations to deliver dynamic, real-time storytelling
  • Assist in crafting post-event recaps and highlight reels that extend the life of activations online

Organization & Coordination

  • Manage and organize social media assets using Dropbox, SharePoint, or similar platforms
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth campaign execution and communication
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including overtime during the week and on weekends, when necessary

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred)
  • 2–3 years of experience managing or coordinating social media — ideally within film, entertainment, or agency settings
  • A proven track record of leading campaigns across multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, etc.)
  • A deep love of film and entertainment — you keep up with what's in theatres, what's trending on streaming, and what fans are saying online. You understand audiences, fandoms, and what excites them
  • A true social media enthusiast — you don't just use it, you study it. You're always tuned into trends and what drives engagement
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills, with a knack for adapting tone and style across brands
  • Understanding of social media analytics and performance optimization
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns at once
  • Experience with tools like Meta Business Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset — you take initiative and own your projects
  • A collaborative spirit and a "no job too small" attitude
  • The ability to assist with photo and/or video creation on programs such as Final Cut, Capcut, and Photoshop is not a requirement, but an asset
