Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Transportation electrical team based in Markham office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Prepare detailed designs for transportation electrical systems using AutoCAD and or Microstation.
- Conduct detailed calculations such as voltage drop, illumination, conductor and conduit sizing, and grounding to ensure that designs meet relevant engineering standards and applicable codes.
- Perform complete lighting analysis using AGi32.
- Design of electrical layouts for cable raceways/underground conduits, lighting, panel schedules design, lighting poles and base details, luminaire schedule, electrical grounding.
- Preparing Contract documents, including specifications and cost estimates.
What your experience looks like
- Minimum of (5) years continuous experience in detailed design and design consultancy.
- Experience in Roadway lighting, Traffic signal design and PHM-125.
- Previous experience in Transportation and Transit projects is a must.
- Experience with advanced lighting design tools (AGi32 and Autolux).
- Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation and SPIDACalc.
- Knowledge of standards IES-RP-21, OESC, IEEE, OTM, OPDS, OPSS, Book 12 and Book 7.
Ministry of Transportation, Ontario's work experience is desired.
