Residential Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, including experience with residential systems, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure electrical systems are installed, maintained, and repaired according to safety standards.

We are currently hiring for the busy season but depending on how 2026's projected jobs go, the employment term is open to be extended should there be cause.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, installation of permanent seasonal holiday lights.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools, and ladders effectively for various electrical tasks.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Work with low voltage systems.
• Collaborate with construction teams during to ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Must be able to arrange or provide transportation to and from site.

Skills

• Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.
• Experience as an residential electrician is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment related to electrical work.
• Strong background in construction practices related to electrical installations.
• Knowledge of low voltage systems.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 5 months

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
